# Download historical stock data as CSV

Export the selected stock chart without an account or subscription. Choose annual EPS or free cash flow per share, then work with the CSV in Excel, Google Sheets, or another spreadsheet.

## Choose the company and chart window

- Open [Apple Inc. (AAPL) financial history](https://stockvaluelens.com/stocks/aapl/), or search for a ticker in the [chart tool](https://stockvaluelens.com/).

- Select Diluted EPS, Basic EPS, or FCF / share. Unavailable metrics are disabled.

- Choose a timeframe, or move the range handles. Review the historical price date and the selected annual observations.

- Click CSV beside the chart. The filename identifies the ticker, metric, and selected start/end dates. Click PNG instead to save the chart as an image.

The CSV follows the selected chart window and metric. It is a mixed-series export, not a separate download of every column and period in the full company table. Financial periods newer than the last stored price can remain visible in the annual HTML table while lying outside the chart export.

## Understand the CSV columns

- **series** identifies the kind of observation.

- **date** gives the price or fiscal-period date for that row.

- **value** contains the observation; an empty value is unavailable, not zero.

- **details** supplies context such as the formula multiple or available dividend source and price information.

## Filter annual EPS or FCF data in a spreadsheet

Import the file as comma-separated data and retain the first row as the column headings. Filter series to eps_diluted for diluted EPS, eps_basic for basic EPS, or fcf_per_share for free cash flow per share. Only the selected metric is exported, so change the chart metric and export again if you need another view.

Other possible series are stooq_adjusted_close, split_only_close when supplied, formula_value, annual_dividend_per_share, and annual_dividend_yield_percent. Sort the filtered dates if you need a chronological annual series. Do not combine price rows and annual financial rows as if they shared a frequency or unit.

## Keep units and source dates

EPS, FCF/share, dividends/share, prices, and formula values use the company's currency per share. Dividend-yield rows use percent. Formula values depend on the selected window and multiple; they are retrospective references, not intrinsic-value estimates.

CSV financial-metric rows do not include complete filing provenance. Use the company table's SEC links, or the [JSON and Markdown resources](https://stockvaluelens.com/data-access/), when tracing an observation to its source. Adjusted prices and dividend yields based on them are approximations where validated split-only prices are unavailable.
